Plenary and Discussion — The Wayne County Jail Population Study Advisory Committee has been collaborating with the Vera Institute of Justice to understand the drivers of the jail population in Wayne County, with the goal of the identifying opportunities to improve the justice system and reduce unnecessary incarceration.

At the forum, the Advisory Committee will present the initial data findings from this study, joined by researchers and advocates who will share their work to create better outcomes for all Wayne County communities. The presentations will be followed by Q & A and discussion.
