Developers: How To Apply for the FHLBank Affordable Housing Program Grant Award
April 2, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta (FHLBank Atlanta) has reopened its Affordable Housing Program (AHP) Competitive round through April 2. Through this program, FHLBank Atlanta offers member financial institutions and their community housing partners grant awards up to $500,000 for affordable housing developments in their communities.
As a member of FHLBank Atlanta, Capital Impact Partners welcomes the opportunity to sponsor applications in the Great Lakes region for the 2020 AHP grant award. We are committed to expanding affordable rental and homeownership opportunities for our communities, and we want to work with you to make that happen.

What You Need To Know
Affordable housing developers (including those in the Great Lakes region) can apply for grant funds with Capital Impact Partners as a member sponsor.
Developers earn additional points on their grant application if their member sponsor (Capital Impact) is part of the project capital stack.
Funding can be used to help finance the acquisition, construction, and rehabilitation of either affordable rental housing or affordable homeownership properties.
Capital Impact has limited capacity to sponsor applications. We will prioritize applications that we believe have the highest probability of success based on projected application scoring, project readiness, and developer experience.
Since 1982, Capital Impact has committed more than $300 million to create more than 38,000 homes in more than 250 communities nationwide. Our mission-driven approach to producing and preserving housing for communities with low incomes makes us the ideal partner for this program.
If you have an affordable housing project and you are interested in partnering with Capital Impact to compete for AHP funding, contact me at npohl@capitalimpact.org or 313–230-1255.
I look forward to hearing from you about your affordable housing deals!
